Web apps: what you get

IPad, phone or the office computer; nothing to install from an app store, no licence per device.

Captured on the job, attached to the record, emailed to the office the moment it is signed off.
An admin view of everything
Searchable by date, person, job or status.
Run and backed up
Paid, backed-up hosting tiers, daily database backups with point-in-time recovery, patching, monitoring.
Your data is yours
Walled off at the database level; a full export handed over at no fee if you ever leave.
Training and the first week
An hour walking your crew through a real job, then we stay close while it beds in.
What a web app is for
A workshop handed us six Word documents and asked whether it had to be this painful. It did not. That job became a platform that mechanics fill in on an iPad, and it works when the shed has no signal. It produces a finished PDF report the moment a job is signed off, and the office can search by date, mechanic, rego or status. The same approach fits inspection sheets, compliance checklists, booking and dispatch, staff portals and the other small systems a business runs on paper or in a spreadsheet.
It runs in the web browser your staff already have, so there is nothing to install and no per-device licence. Installed to a home screen it behaves like an app, and we build the safety nets into the database so a stale device cannot bring back a line you deleted.
How an engagement runs
We scope it in phases and quote each phase as a fixed price before it starts. A new tool starts with your existing forms, which we rebuild in your wording and your order. Then come the accounts, the branding, report emails configured to land in the office inbox, and the devices set up. Then an hour with the people who will use it, running a real job through, and a first week where we fix anything that gets in the way.
After go-live the platform fee covers running it. That includes hosting, database and file storage on paid, backed-up tiers, email delivery from your own verified address, and the domain and its certificate. Daily backups, security patching and monitoring mean we usually know something has broken before you tell us. Support is email and phone in business hours; something broken and stopping work is same business day.
What is quoted separately
New features that do not exist yet: a new screen, a new report, a new workflow. Integrations with other systems, such as accounting or parts ordering. Back-capture of old records. Hardware and the site's internet. Each is scoped and priced before we start, and you approve the price first, every time. Anything not set out in the scope is outside it until it is quoted.
Jobs a web app takes off paper
Paper job sheets that get lost in the ute. A pre-start checklist that is ticked in the yard and typed up again at night. A spreadsheet of bookings only one person understands. Each is a small system, and each can be one screen in a web app.
Photos, signatures and a PDF copy for the customer are captured on the phone at the job, so the office has the record before the crew is back in Bohle or Garbutt.
How it is built
We start with the forms and steps you use now, line by line, so the app matches the job your team already knows. A working first version is in their hands early, and changes are made from their feedback before the next phase.
An admin view shows every job, checklist and record in one place, and exports go to a spreadsheet or PDF when you need them.
Run and looked after
The app is hosted, backed up and kept up to date for a flat monthly fee. Your data is yours, and it can be exported in full if you ever move on.

Software for how you work
Most small systems replace paper, spreadsheets or a tool that almost fits. A job card on a phone, a pre-start checklist for a crew in Bohle, a client portal, a quote builder. They run in the browser your staff already have, so nothing needs installing and a new starter is using it on day one.
Each one is scoped in phases and each phase is quoted before it starts, so you see a working first version early and decide what comes next.

Questions
Web App Development Townsville: common questions
Do I need new hardware?
No. It runs in the browser on the iPads, phones and computers you already have.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Work queues on the device and syncs when the connection comes back.
Who owns the data, and can I leave?
You do. If you leave, we export every record and every PDF and hand it over. No fee.
Why a setup fee when other apps have none?
Because they do not do the setup. You get a login and a blank template builder, and entering four hundred checklist items becomes your job. We do that part.
Why is the monthly fee flat?
A price that climbs with use gives a business a reason to ration logins or skip writing a job up properly. The system is only useful if every job goes through it.
Does it work on a phone out on site?
Yes. Web apps run in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen like an app.
Can crews use it on their own phones?
Yes. It runs in the phone browser they already have and can be added to the home screen, so nothing needs installing from an app store.
